Nikki Haley’s message on artillery shell is support for ‘slaughter of humanity’: Iran

TEHRAN - Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday denounced Nikki Haley for her disgusting demonstration of support for Israel’s massacre in the Gaza Strip.

Haley, the former Republican presidential candidate for 2024 and UN ambassador during the Trump administration, wrote “Finish them” on an artillery shell in Israel last week.

Danny Danon, Israel’s former ambassador to the United Nations and a member of the Israeli Parliament, shared a photo on social media on May 28 showing Haley signing the shell.

Her visit came just days after Israel drew international condemnation for a strike that killed dozens of Gazan civilians in a camp for displaced Palestinians.

“This is what my friend, the former ambassador Nikki Haley, wrote today on a shell during a visit to an artillery post on the northern border,” Danon wrote, declaring of the Israeli military, “The IDF will win!”

Haley finished her inscription with a note that “America loves Israel always,” using a heart emoji for “loves,” according to the New York Times.

In a post on X, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said, “[This is] the slaughter of humanity, ethics, and human rights in the name of love for the child-killing Israeli regime.”

Haley’s shell-signing and subsequent comments sparked angry reactions on social media.

The author and columnist Wajahat Ali, said in a video on TikTok: “If you think that Biden and Democrats are terrible on Gaza — I think they’ve been terrible — just know Republicans will be far, far worse, and I give you Nikki Haley.”

Democratic US Representative Jamaal Bowman called Haley a “disgusting human being.”

“That’s genocidal language, and it’s the language that has the American people turning against our government,” he said.

“Why do we continue to support not just the consistent attacks in Gaza, but the forever wars?”

Former Human Rights Watch executive director Kenneth Roth said, “Nikki Haley shows who she is.”

“Why not just sign, ‘I favor Israeli war crimes,’” he added in a post on X.
